Val had a long weekend in ICU trying to get off the ventilator, reduce the swelling and stabilize her heart beat. But she was finally able to move to a regular room on Monday morning. She has a lovely view of Portland, Mt. Hood and the river….all things to inspire a speedy recovery. While not her usual chipper self, she is coherent, smiling and obviously happy to be able to visit with friends and family.
Tuesday’s highlight was a shower! The other good news is that the doctors are talking about releasing her on Friday or Saturday. While she has a long road of recovery ahead of her, she is has made some big steps the last few days!
